Killing of three Pastors on May 13: NIA records UNC leader's statement

Senapati, July 28 2026:
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday recorded the statement of Ng Lorho, president of the United Naga Council (UNC), at the office of Senapati SP in connection with its investi-gation into the May 13 ambush at a place in Kotlen-Kotzim area of Kangpokpi district in which three Pastors were killed.
On the other hand, UNC president Ng Lorho has ur-ged investigating agencies to expedite the probe into the killing of six Nagas while also warning that more stringent agitation will be taken up in near future if the Government fails to deliver justice.

Ng Lorho was questioned as a part of the NIA's investigation into a case re-registered by the agency on the directions of the Government of India based on an FIR registered at New Keithelmanbi police station, Kangpokpi district.
The agency is examining all relevant facts and gathering testimonies of witnesses.
However, the NIA has denied to disclose further details regarding the contents of the statements or the progress of the investigation.
Manish Prabhune, Dy SP, Abhijeet Pawar, CIO and Anil Patil, CT stopped at Senapati and took the statement of the UNC president while proceeding from Kohima to Imphal on Tuesday in connection with the investigation into the killing of the three Pastors.
Meanwhile, an order issued by Taposh Basu- matary, SP, NIA Branch Office, Imphal stated that during the course of investigation, it has become ne- cessary to record the statements of three individuals from Senapati whose names have emerged during the investigation.
Speaking to media persons, UNC president Ng Lorho assured full cooperation to the NIA while also urging the investigating agency to expedite the probe into the killing of 6 Nagas by Kuki militants.
With no tangible result from the Government, the UNC president stated that Naga people in Manipur are left in chaos even after one and half months have passed, waiting for justice.
The UNC president also warned of more stringent democratic agitation in near future apart from the ongoing economic blockade if there is no new development in the coming days.
The sole responsibility of such an agitation should be borne by the Central Government and the State Government.
Earlier, the UNC submitted a four-point demand to the Government and stated that no tangible result could be seen till date.
