Relief materials extended to shelter camps

In continuation of the humanitarian aid provided to the people displaced by the recent conflict, members of Khwai Brahmapur Women's Development Committee and Uripok Nupi Apunba Lup distributed relief items to various relief camps opened in the State on May 4,5,7 and 8 .
In a release, Khwai Brahmapur Women's Development Committee informed that relief materials were distributed to shelter camps opened at Gopalji Leirak Community Hall, Lamboikhongnangkhong Netaji Subhash Chandra School, Moirang Lamkhai, Moirang Thangjing, Moirang Khunou Seva Club, Kumbi Awang High School, Khuman Lampak SAI Complex and Pukhao.
During the visit, it was also found that Kumbi Awang High School Relief Camp and Kumbi KDU Hall Relief Camp were facing shortage of resources and in need of immediate assistance from the authorities concerned and generous donors.
Meanwhile, Khurai Area Committee, All Manipur Nupi Manipur has informed that the committee has provided relief materials to the relief camps opened at 10 different locations in Khurai to shelter the people of Dolaithabi, Pukhab, Ekou, Nongshum, Litanpokpi and Moirang Purel who have been displaced by the recent violence.
In a release, the committee stated that relief items and monetary aid were also provided to the shelter camp opened at Shree Shree Gourgobind Dance College located in Khurai.
The committee further appealed to the authorities concerned to consider the plight of the people who have been affected by the recent violence and extend necessary aid to the people taking shelter in the camps.
