Relief material distribution programme continues

Many continue to do-nate essential items including medicines to relief camps set up in different areas for shel-tering displaced people of the ethnic clash.
Organisations including Federation of Civil Society Or-ganisations (FOCS) Manipur, United Youth Organisation Relief Committee, Nagamapal Chaokhat Lamjing Lup, Re-gional Indigenous Forum for Peaceful Co-existence (RIF-PCO), Awangkhunou Youth Development Association, Nupi Chaokhat Khongthang Lup, All Wong Chajing Clubs Organisation, Lukram Leirak Youth Club, United Youths' Club Lairikyengbam Leikai, Lairikyengbam Leikai Gram Panchayat, Volunteers' Or-ganisation Yaiskul, Young Voluntary Organisation (YVO) Wangkhei, Singjamei Apun-ba Lup (SAL), Citizens' Club Soibam Leikai, Hatta Golapati Club and Helping our People Everywhere (HOPE) Mayang Imphal donated essential items to relief camps.

The camps where dona-tions by the aforementioned organisations were provided included Moirang Khunou Makha Leikai, Maning Leikai, Mayai Leikai, NB College Khundrakpam, Litanpokpi, Nongshum, Mayang Langjing Taning, Keirenphabi Sporting Club, Thanga Awang Leikai community hall, Moirang Khunou Makha Leikai, Keibi Kumu, Chanung, Ideal Girls College Akampat, Dolaitha-bi, Pukhao, Phubala, Pangei, Yumnam Khunou, Sambei, Moirang, Konjengbam Leikai community hall, Moirang Oksobung Thoibi Thang-Ta Association Relief Camp, Moi-rang Shribon community hall, Moirang Sendra Road, Thanga Karang, Tera Khongshangbi, Moirang Multipurpose High-er Secondary School, Khun-drakpam Mayai Leikai, Bright Career Academy, Haraorou community hall, Tangkham, Pourabi Yaipha Naharol Kan-glup, Awang Khunou Mayai Leikai Oinam, Utlou SAI complex, Leimaram, KYDA Moirang Khunou Khongnang Makhong, Kumbi, Santi Club Moirang Khunou Mamang Sabal, Sendra Ithing, Tairen - pokpi High School, Leimaram Kangjeibung High School, Asha Club, Ringo Club, Kei-bi Awang Leikai community hall, Taretkhul community hall, Khuman Lampak, Gour Govinda College, Taning Development Club Mayan-glangjing, Koujengleima High School Sekmai (Awang), YSMC PSC Tangkham, Pukhao Naharup Mamang Leikai, Kei-bi Kumuda Club, Oinam Girls Higher Secondary School, Nongpok Kakching, Chingmei and Keibul Lamjao.
Meanwhile, former water resource chief engineer G Robindro Sharma donated a sum of Rs 1 lakh to relief camps set up at Itham Moi-rangpurel and Tumukhong.
Youth Voluntary Associ-ation president Tongbram Somorjit on Friday provided a 500 litre water reservoir to the relief camp opened by SOCDEC Wangjing at Kodom-pokpi Sports complex.
Women of Wangjing Heitu-popokpi Soibam Leirak also provided sanitary pads to fe-male inmates of relief camp opened at Wangjing Keithel by WA Wangjing.
There are altogether 50 people staying in the relief camp.
Meanwhile, SOCDEC has expressed gratitude to all those who helped the dis-placed people and provided relief materials at Wangjing Sports complex relief camp.
There are altogether 103 inmates at the relief centre including women, children and elderly people.
