Imphal, November 09 2015:
In connection with the abduction of a man and hijacking of a car, police have pulled up one sus-pect identified as Th Subhas- chandra (35) of Langthabal Kunja Mayai Leikai.
A gang led by Subhas-chandra abducted Kangabam Brandon (25) in his own car (Maruti SX 4) from Langthabal Kunja last night after physically assaulting Brandon's father Jadumani (48) .
Brandon and his father were travelling together in the car and they were coming from to their Wangkhei Yonglan Leirak residence from Charangpat where they own a brick firm.
Whereas Jadumani was abandoned at Langthabal Kunja after thrashing severely, Brandon was taken away in his car, said a source.
A team of 12 Bihar Regiment brought Brandon to Nambol police station last night itself but the police station refused to take custody of Brandon.
Subsequently, the 12 Bihar Regiment team brought Brandon to Singjamei P/S and they clarified that Brandon was apprehended based on wrong information.
On the other hand, there was an incident where Subhaschandra hired four tippers from Jadumani and the same were let out to a contractor.
Although Subhaschandra paid hiring charges for three tippers, he did not pay hiring charge for the fourth tipper.
This led to some altercations between Jadumani and Subhaschandra.
They had a telephonic conversation yesterday and Subhaschandra told Jadumani they he would wait for him at Langthabal Meitei Lamkhai.
As the father-son duo reached the spot, Subhaschandra was seen with another man.
As Subhaschandra and Jadumani were exchanging blows, the man who was standing with Subhaschandra made a telephone call.
Soon after, three men and woman came there in a car (Maruti Alto).
They wielded an automatic rifle and took away Brandon in his own car.
In connection with the incident, a case has been already registered at Singjamei P/S .
