Imphal, November 09 2015:
Even though vast majority of LPG consumers find it tough to get even five refills in a year, one consumer got 13 refills between April and October this year.
Notably, the Government of India has already announced that all LPG consumers across the country would be given 12 subsidized refills in a year.
But in Manipur, consumers hardly get five refills in a year on the average.
The total number of the State LPG consumers is 2.3 lakh approximately.
Out of them, the one who got 13 refills between April and October is perhaps the one who got the maximum number of refills in a year.
The lucky consumer's consumer number is CX18117605.As he got the maximum number of refills, he also got the maximum subsidy which is around Rs 3734.05 .
According to IOC's official sources, the number of refills and the amount of subsidy given to the particular consumer are correct but it not yet clear whether he received all the refills.
Moreover, two consumers who received 12 refills, two consumers who received 11 refills, seven consumers who received 10 refills, four consumers who received nine refills and four other consumers who received eight refills within this year have also been detected.
Consumer numbers of the two consumers who have received 12 refills each are CX21642032 and CX21640387 respectively.
The consumers who got 11 refills each have consumer numbers CX19099997 and 18700 .
Consumer numbers of the seven consumers who got 10 refills are CX6411492, CX18837154, CX21640323, CX21640972, CX21641215, 17494 and 19230 .
Consumer numbers of the four consumers who got nine refills are CX6607457, CX13269589, 16625 and 17987 .
Four other consumers who have received eight refills each bear consumer numbers 24224, CX3888655, CX17265697 and CX18710345.Together with the refills, they have also received corresponding subsidy amounts.
It is feared that Manipur has been experiencing the maximum number of problems among all the States of India as far as implementation of DBTL scheme is concerned.
The authority concerned should look into the matter and inform the public about the major factors which have been causing so much problems, said some LPG consumers.
