State logs 1.2 percent TPR

With 14 people confirmed positive out of 1,189 samples tested for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours, the State logged a daily positivity rate of 1.2 per cent.
The positive cases belong to Imphal East (2), Imphal West (4), Kakching (3), Kangpokpi (1), Chandel (2), Churachandpur (1) and Ukhrul (1) .
There is no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours which implies that the death toll stands at 2118 .
Following recovery, 10 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (7), RIMS (1) ad CCCs (2), according to a bulletin issued by Additional Director (Health) and Covid-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang.
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State has reached 1,37,021 (general population 1,32,007 and Central security personnel 5,014) .
This figure includes 114 active cases (general population 111 and Central security personnel 3) and 1,34,789 recovered cases (general population 1,29,785 and Central security personnel 5,004) .
The recovery rate as on Tuesday is 98.37 per cent.
A total of 245 D-type oxygen cylinders and 88 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
At present, eight (out of 300) Covid beds of JNIMS and another 76 (out of 190) of RIMS are occupied.
So far, the cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,55,729 (first dose 15,23,708, second dose 11,68,527 and precautionary dose 63,494).Till March 14, 49.92 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.34 per cent has received the first dose.
