Imphal, April 21 2023: A team of Sangaikot company operating base of 36 Assam Rifles apprehended an active cadre of the proscribed KYKL on April 16 from Leisan Tampak in Churachandpur district.

The apprehended cadre has been identified as Saikhom Sanayaima alias Nongdrem (48) son of late Saikhom Tombi of Heirok Part-2 bazar, Thoubal.

According to a police report, upon receiving information about the presence of a suspected cadre of KYKL in general area of Leisan Tampak, 36 AR established mobile vehicle check post around Leisan Tampak and arrested Sanayaima.

However, no item was seized from him.

Later, Sanayaima was taken to district hospital for medical checkup, it added.

The arrested cadre has been handed over to Sangaikot police station for further legal actions, it added.
