Imphal, March 18 2024:
Indian mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Roshan Mainam of Manipur, would be fine tuning his skills at the prestigious UFC Performance Institute in Shanghai, China.
As per a release, Roshan last showcased his skills in the ONE Championship circuit back in 2021 .
Following his return to India, the untimely demise of his father hindered his recovery process apart from the prevailing crisis in Manipur compelling him to scale back activities at his gym, RMX MMA Manipur.
Roshan commenced his professional MMA journey in 2016 with his prowess soon earning him recognition, leading to four appearances in the Super Fight League before securing a coveted spot in the EVOLVE MMA roster via their rigorous selection trials.
His debut in the ONE Championship in 2019 marked the onset of a remarkable winning streak, clinching victory in three consecutive bouts via submission.
The Shanghai institute, acclaimed as the epitome of human performance excellence, is hailed as the premier destination for MMA athletes worldwide.
Spanning an impressive 93,000 square feet, the facility, akin to its Las Vegas counterpart, serves as a beacon of health, well-being, and performance enhancement in the MMA realm.
It is also the training place for many UFC stars including UFC Champion Zhang Weili.
Distinguished as the UFOs Asian headquarters, the Shanghai facility offers a comprehensive suite of services encompassing fitness, nutrition, and physical therapy, administered by dedicated UFC personnel.
