Manipur emerge women's champs and men's 1st runners up at 15th Mr India

Manipur finished women's champions and men's first runners up in the 15th Mr India 2024-Senior Men and Women's Bodybuilding National Championship held in Ludhiana from March 16 to 17.Manipur won as many as 2 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze medals at the National Championship as Maradona Kshetrimayum of Muscle Factory, Kakching finishing on top in the men's 90 kg competition and Engudam Kavita securing pole position in the women's 55+ kg category competition.
Ksh Maradona was also adjudged 1 st runners up in the race for champion of champion.
Neta Laishram won only the silver medal for Manipur yesterday in the men's 60 kg category competition as Thokchom Sanjeeta bagged a bronze medal in the women's 55 kg category competition.
The bodybuilders returned to a warm welcome today at Imphal International Airport.
The All Manipur Body Builders Association, in a statement, said it was a great victory for team Manipur amidst the crisis situation and all credits go to the athletes and their families.
As many as 11 athletes represented Manipur at the championship hosted by Punjabi Amateur Body Building Association under the aegis of Indian Body Builders Federation at Indoor Stadium, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana.
The team were led by Sh Sanathoi as manager, RK Manisana as coach and N Ratan, president AMBBA, as overall team in-charge.
