A Gandhar Memorial Polo Tournament : Bonbon, Atangba fire Black Watch PC-A into semi-finals

Black Watch PC-A outlasted Arvind Polo Clubby 17-2 goals to enter semi-finals of the 1st Athokpam Gandhar @ German Memoiial State Level Polo Tournament being organised by Chingkhei Hunba Polo Club at Ibudhou Maijing Polo Complex, Heingang.
S Bonbon (6 goals) and L Atangba (5 goals) combined well to add 11 goals in Black Watch PC-A's easy win as Arvind Polo Club scored two goals in the first chukker through A Abung and O Chinglensana.
P Ojit also scored thrice for the winning team as Th Basanta scored twice and L Kokeshwore added one.
Black Watch PC had a bright start and cruised to a 4-2 first chukker lead with Bonbon scoring three goals on trot and L Atangba scoring his first.
Bonbon scored twice in the second chukker and Atangba struck one to hand Black Watch PC a 7-2 lead before Atangba, Ojit and L Kokeshwor scored one goal apiece and P Ojit scored twice in the third chukker to make it 12-2 .
Th Basanta and L Atangba scored two goals apiece in the final chukker as S Bonbon scored one to help Black Watch PC wind up the game 17-2 and set up semi-final date with Rupkumar PC.
Earlier in the day, IMKHUKAL-A, Heinganga trounced KRYPHSA, Naoremthong 14-0 to set up a quarterfinal date with Nagamapal PC.
Thoudam Santosh led the scoring front adding 5 goals alone for the Heingang team as Thoudam Kaoba and Leishemba Takhellambam scored three goals apiece.
A Basanta, K Jogendra and O Rozer also chipped in a goal apiece as the Naoremthong side failed to convert any of the chances throughout the game.
IMKHUKAL-A were leading by 4-0 margin by the end of the first chukker courtesy of two goals from Thoudam Santosh and a goal each from A Basanta and O Rozer.
Santosh and Kaoba added a goal apiece in the second chukker to make it 6-0 before Leishemba scored one and Santosh scored twice to further extend the lead to 9-0 .
The final chukker saw Leishemba and Kaoba scoring two goals each after K Jogendra scored his only goal to complete the 14-0 demolition of KRYPHSA.
