Champion bodybuilders accorded warm welcome

Imphal, March 18 2024:
Members of Manipur team, which won multiple medals including two Mr India titles along with receiving Team Champions (Women) and 1st Runner-Up (Men) titles in the 15th Mr India 2024 - Senior Men & Women's Body Building National Championship, were accorded warm welcome by All Manipur Body Builders' Association (AMBBA) on their arrival at Imphal Airport on Monday.
Informing that Manipur won the Team Champions (Women) and secured Runners-Up (Men) titles, bagged two gold medals, a silver medal and bronze medal each in the championship, AMBBA said Maradona Kshetrimayum (90 kg) of Muscle Factory, Kakching won the gold medal besides being adjudged 1st Runner-Up Champion of Champion, Engudam Kavita Chanu (55+kg) of Friends Fitness Gym, Tera won a gold, Neta Singh Laishram (60 kg) of United Gym, Naoremthong bagged silver and Thokchom Sanjeeta (55 kg) of World Gym, Yaiskul secured bronze medal in the championship held at Ludhiana, Punjab on March 16 and 17 .
Manipur achieved great victory amid the present crisis in the state and all credit goes to our players and their families, AMBBA said in a release.
AMBBA further mentioned that altogether 390 athletes from 32 states/units from across India including Railways, Services, Revenue Board, etc., participated in the championship.
The Manipur Team was led by Sh Sanathoi Singh as manager, RK Manisana Singh as coach and IBBF organising secretary and AMBBA president N Ratan Singh as overall team in-charge, it added.
