87 Bn CRPF distributes essential items to villagers

87 Battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Uchathol distributed essential and sports items to the villagers of the region today as a part of its ongoing civic action programme.
In today's programme, Commanding Officer (CO) of 87 Bn CRPF Tapan Kumar distributed blankets, solar lamps, water tanks, footballs, football nets, volleyballs, tarpaulin etc to more than 200 villagers of Jarolpokpi, Uchathol, Phaitol, Leishang, Tatbung, Lhangnom and Leingangpokpi.
CO Tapan Kumar while speaking at the occasion said that the civic action programmes are being conducted as per the guidelines of the Government of India to reach out to the needy and deprived villagers in particular to promote their well-being.
Similar programmes have been conducted at Tamenglong and Noney districts earlier, he added.
The CO also assured that the civic action programmes will continue in the larger interest of the masses and sought suggestions from the people regarding the cause.
