Mortal remains of Maj Pritam laid to rest

The mortal remains of Major M Pritam Singh have been laid to rest at his native place at Luker, a village in Imphal West with full military honours yesterday.
A press statement issued by PIB (Defence Wing) said that Major M Pritam Singh breathed his last on April 3, 2024 'while deployed in an operational area' due to climatic hazards.
The body of the Army officer was received by the senior military officers at Imphal Airport yesterday before taking it to his residence at Luker.
As a mark of respect and military traditions, all present paid floral tributes at the airport, it added.
The cremation ceremony was held with full military honours yesterday in the presence of senior military officials, representatives of civil administration and family members.
Major Pritam was commissioned into the Indian Army on December 9, 2017, after undergoing training at Army Cadet College and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
