SVEEP campaign conducted; poll personnel randomisation, training held

Gearing up for the forthcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election, 2024, Senapati district election officer (DEO) Mamoni Doley conducted Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) campaign at Astro Turf Senapati on Saturday.
During the campaign, Senapati SDC Ngaonii Panii stated that the main objective of SVEEP campaign is to spread awareness on voter enrolment and seeking maximum participation from the eligible voters to turn out on the polling day.
As part of the campaign, there was a football exhibition match between District 11 and Senapati District Olympic Association Manipur (SDOAM) 11 and later between Senapati District Badminton Association (SDBA) and SDOAM Veteran.
Penalty shoots out were also made available for public spectators.
DRDA project director and nodal officer for complaints and voter helpline P Ronald administered the pledge to the players and public.
Senapati DEO also distributed T- shirts and caps to the players.
An audio recorded voice on voting in English and respective dialects of the district were also played to the gathering.
Earlier, the second randomisation of polling personnel in respect of three assembly segments of Senapati district was held at conference hall, DEO/DC Office, Senapati for the ensuing Lok Sabha Election 2024 on Saturday.
The randomisation process was conducted in the presence of Outer Manipur PC general observer Ujjwal Kumar via video conference, Senapati DEO/DC Mamoni Doley Ningreingam Leisan, Mao SDO/ARO Songsong, nodal officer for human resource management/ADC Senapati CEO A Adahrii Maheo and his team.
Meanwhile, the second round of training for female polling personnel (party-wise) for the upcoming 18th Lok Sabha Election 2024, in respect of Churachandpur assembly constituency, Saikot AC along with special training for first time presiding officers and polling officers and all categories of reserved pool (male and female) concluded at Churachandpur Government College on Saturday.
During the training, twelve district level master trainers imparted trainings to first time female presiding officers and polling officers-I for the effective management of polling stations in the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
The trainers gave hands-on training in operating electronic voting machines (EVM), Control Unit, Ballot Unit, VVPATs and others voting materials as per the guidelines of Election Commission of India (ECI).
The training sessions were conducted under the supervision of nodal officer (Training Management) S Thienlaljoy Gangte, nodal officer (Manpower) Lalthanza and nodal officer (Postal Ballot) Soiminlian Lengen.
Churachandpur DEO/DC Dharun Kumar personally oversaw the training at the venue.
Out of 274 polling stations in Churachandpur district, 110 polling stations will be managed by female polling personnel.
15 special polling stations are also being planned for internally displaced persons (IDPs) or specified voters.
Altogether, around 544 female polling personnel participated in the training session.
Meanwhile, under SVEEP-Churachandpur, 'Wall of Democracy-Signature Campaign' under the theme 'I Shall Vote For Sure' was conducted at Churachandpur Government College, Churachandpur on Saturday under the auspices of SVEEP nodal officer Vidyamari Sridhar.
