Union wishes players on International Day of Sports

On the occasion of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, Students' Union of Kangleipak (SUK) has wished players and sports enthusiasts, who worked tirelessly for bringing laurels for the land.
In a release, SUK health and sports secretary Moirangthem Basko Chanu said that the observance of International Day of Sport for Development and Peace began from 2014 acknowledging the power of sports in fostering global peace and development.
Pointing out that Kangleipak is well known as the power house of sports in the country, she noted that the land has been producing more brilliant players in the recent years also.
The players have been bringing laurels and achievements for the land.
She appealed to the people to encourage the players with heart and soul and stated that the union is prepared to extend all possible help to the players when they are in need.
She also wished for more achievements in the upcoming Olympic Games at Paris.
In another release, All Manipur Sepaktakraw Association (AMSTA) informed that it observed International Sports day at the residence of Khomdram Dorendra, founder member of Non-Olympic Games Association (NOGA), in Kwakeithel Moirangpurel on Saturday.
