AR distributes relief items to Chandel villages

Imphal, January 31 2024: Assam Rifles of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) distributed relief material packages to the villagers of Kananphai and Saiphai villages in Chandel district under Operation Sadbhavna 2023-24 on Tuesday.

The distribution of relief material packages in the two villages of Chandel district was a small but significant step towards providing vital livelihood amenities that will help villagers fulfil their daily requirements while also generating financial benefits, PRO 1GAR (S) informed in a statement.

The statement affirmed that Assam Rifles remains committed to fostering positive changes and contributing to the well-being of the communities in the area of responsibility in order to strengthen the relationship between security forces and natives of Manipur even during challenging times.

The villagers and the village authorities expressed their gratitude to the Assam Rifles for enhancing the socio-economic fabric of the villages, it added.
