Kuki women heckle AR troops in Moreh

Imphal, January 31 2024:
A patrolling team of 5 Assam Rifles was huddled and heckled by womenfolk of D Monomphai village in the border town Moreh on Wednesday morning.
Source said that the AR troopers were on a routine foot patrolling duty and they arrived near the village around 9.10 am .
The village is under the jurisdiction of Moreh Police Station.
As the AR team tried to enter the village, local women numbering around 100 stopped them saying that they will not allow any of the central security forces in the village.
As the AR team tried to sort out the situation, the women pushed and chased them out.
A few of the AR personnel could also be seen pulled and dragged by the women.
An RAF team came there to control the situation.
However, they did nothing much but watched the AR team retreating.
On the other hand, DG of BSF visited the border town on Wednesday around 11.30 am to take stock of the situation there.
He reached the town in a helicopter and interacted with the military personnel posted in the border town.
