NPP leaders condole

Imphal, January 31 2024:
A team of National People's Party (NPP) has visited the families of two village volunteers who were killed by Kuki militants at Koutruk, a village situated in the adjoining areas of Imphal West and Kangpokpi, today and extended their condolence.
Notably, Meisnam Khaba (23), s/o M Hemanta of Sagoltongba Mamang Leikai and Nongthongbam Micheal (33), s/o N Imo died while guarding Meitei villages yesterday.
The NPP team led by former Deputy Chief Minister Yumnam Joykumar went to the residences of the two village volunteers and paid their obeisance to the martyrs.
Speaking to the media by the sideline, Joykumar, who is the National vice president of NPP, said that the responsibility taken by Khaba and Micheal to safeguard the State was immense.
Sharing the grief and sorrow of the bereaved families, Joykumar prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
The former Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by S Subashchandra, NPP general secretary RK Rameshwar and other party leaders.
