Senior Women's T-20 Trophy : Manipur go down by 10 wickets to Maharashtra

Imphal, October 18 2022: Manipur women's team suffered a huge 10-wicket loss in the hands of Maharashtra in the ongoing Senior Women's T-20 Trophy Group D competition at CK Pithawala Ground, Surat today.

Put in to bat first, Manipur were restricted to 62 runs for 7 wickets in allotted 20 overs and Maharashtra eased to the victory in 6.2 overs without losing any wicket.

Ganga Waikhom led the scoring for Manipur adding 27 runs while Loidangton scored an unbeaten 25 in Manipur's innings which saw, SB Pokharkar and DP Vaidya take two wickets each and PB Garkhede, UA Pawar and Aarati S Kedar snatching a wicket each.

In reply, IM Savkar (28 off 19 balls) and SS Shinde (33 off 19 balls) guided Maharashtra to winning 63 as Manipur bowlers failed to find the breakthrough.

Manipur will play Delhi in the penultimate Group stage match.
