He was then taken to police custody at Gamnom Saparmeina Police Station, said a police source adding he was later handed over to his family after a medical examination at PHC Gamphazol.
The search operation is still going on to trace the abductors, it added.
Notably, Roshan was abducted at around 6.30 pm of October 16 from Charhajare Bazar by 3-4 unknown miscreants.
Meanwhile, the non-SoO Kuki militant outfit, the Kuki National Front-Nehlun(KNF-N) in a statement had claimed responsibility for the abduction this morning.
The outfit had also stated that they had released Roshan safe and sound.
Roshan was abducted in connection with the July 10, 2022 incident at Charhajare where two of its cadres were apprehended by the Charhajare's Nepali and handed over to the police along with their arms, said the outfit.
Later in the evening, the outfit stated that Roshan Uprety was released purely on humanitarian grounds considering the situation of his wife, children, and parents' prayer.
