Seven new cases detected; active cases, TPR rise

Imphal, October 18 2022:
Number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state rose to 24 as government bulletins reported seven new positive cases out of 174 samples tested, thus, leading to corresponding increase in the positivity rate to 4 per cent on Tuesday compared to 2.5 per cent on Monday.
One recovery was reported on Tuesday.
The seven fresh cases are residents of Imphal East (2), Bishnupur (1), Churachandpur (1), Kamjong (2) and Tengnoupal (1) districts.
Out of the 24 active cases, 11 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2149 including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,853 individuals including 5,022 CAPF personnel.
In the last 24 hours, 718 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,45,982, out of which 13,30,582 had received the second dose and 2,71,383 precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49829), Imphal East (32046), Thoubal (10295), Churachandpur (11289), Kangpokpi (3186), Tamenglong (3497), Bishnupur (9982), Senapati (2547), Ukhrul (3368), Kakching (6979), Chandel (2796), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1214), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1057), and Pherzawl (477) .
