G Shyamkanhai strikes 3 gold at All Manipur Shooting Competition

Shyamkanhai Sharma of Manipur Rifles Association earned three gold medals in the 31 st All Manipur Shooting Competition being underway at Shooting Range, Khuman Lampak Imphal under the aegis of Manipur Rifle Association.
G Shyamkanhai claimed his first gold medal in a one off 25 m Centre Fire Pistol championship for senior master men individual with compatriot Shambanduram Rupen Singh by registering 223 points.
Rupen Singh on the other hand shot 181 points to settle for the silver medal.
In the individual master men's 25 m Standard Pistol championship, G Shyamkanhai Sharma racked up 224 points to beat Ashem Kennedy Singh of Imphal East District Rifle Association who managed 133 points and secured the gold medal.
He also bagged the senior master men's individual 25 m Standard pistol title with the same score.
Meanwhile, 25 m Standard Pistol Championship gold for individual junior men went to Jupiter Ashem of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School who amassed 229 points.
Men's individual 25 m Standard Pistol Championship gold on the other hand went to Kunyson Tonambam as he shot 270 points.
Usham Christopher of Imphal East District Rifle Association who posted 261 points and Kangjam Akanta of Manipur Rifle Association who shot 245 points respectively won the silver and bronze medal in the championship.
Yesterday, Aaryaman Lairenjam of Imphal West District Rifle Association bagged two more gold medals securing top places in the 10 m individual men's rifle championship and junior men's championship.
Aaryaman shot 387 points to seal the titles for both the category as Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre's Oinam Labish Singh secured 386 points to win silver and Thelphomshang Khaling of Manipur Rifle Association secured bronze medal securing 382 points.
In the junior women's individual 10 m rifle championship, Stacy Leitanthem shot 390 points to earn Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre.
Her compatriot, Jyotika Laishram settled for the silver medal by amassing 388 points in the same event while Personi Bachaspatimyum of Imphal East District Rifle Association managed 351 points to earn the bronze medal.
In the meantime, Thoudam Jackson of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School hit 278 points to win gold medal in sub-youth men's individual 10 m rifle championship.
In the sub-youth women individual 10 m rifle championship, Khongbantabam Sonika of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School secured 332 points while Nandeibam Ronika won silver scoring 316 points.
Lingjenthoibi Khaidem of Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School won the bronze recording 260 points.
Jyotika Laishram of Blossom School Indoor Shooting Centre fetched the 10 m rifle championship for youth women scoring 388 points as Jupiter Shooting Range of Imphal Public School's Debika Leishangthem (335 points) and Yengkhom Menaka Devi (330 points) won silver and bronze medals.
Nongmaithem Jubaraj Singh meanwhile sealed the youth men's 10 m rifle championship title scoring 373 points as Imphal East District Rifle Association's Telheiba Meitei Thokchom won the silver with 358 points and Md Arshad of Manipur Rifle Association settled for bronze scoring 357 points.
