Urup school celebrates feat; students feted

Hailing 100 per cent pass percentage achieved by Urup Higher Secondary School, Imphal East district under Keirao assembly constituency in the HSLC Examination 2022 conducted by Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM), a celebratory meeting of School Management Committee (SMC), teachers and guardians was held at its premises on Tuesday .
The meeting discussed school's further development, followed by felicitation of its meritorious students.In the recently declared results of HSLC Exam 2022, Urup Higher Secondary School, which has been listed under 'School Phagathansi' Mission, had 45 of its students passing in 1st Division and 10 in 2nd Division out of the total of 55 who appeared in the exam.
The meeting was attended by School's principal in-charge W Inaocha, staff, retired teacher L Jugindro, guardians and SMC members.
Meanwhile, Apunba Terapishak Chaokhat Thourang Lup (ATCTL), Terapishak, Kakching district felicitated 25th position holder in HSLC Exam 2022 Wahengbam Medona Devi along with students of Terapishak area who secured 1st Division in the HSLC Exam 2022, Higher Secondary Examination (HSE) 2022 conducted by Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur (COHSEM) and also who cleared the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Class VI Entrance Test on Tuesday.
The felicitation programme held at Kangleicha Chaokhat Thourang Lup playground, Terapishak was attended by Wabagai MLA Dr Usham Deben as chief guest, ATCTL president Huidrom Biren as president and Lamyanba Enterprises proprietor Elangbam Amitkumar Meitei, who also sponsored the event, as guest of honour.
As part of the function, HSLC Exam 2022 25th ranker W Medona, daughter of W Rajendro and W (o) Shantibala of Hiyanglam Awang Leikai was presented with cash rewards by MLA Dr U Deben, Elangbam Amitkumar, Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat former pradhan Elangbam Rajen and others.
Students residing in Terapishak area, who passed in 1st Division in HSE 2022, HSLC 2022 and cleared the class VI entrance exam of JNV, were also presented gifts at the event.
