Dengue cases in Moreh reach 37

Moreh, July 19 2022:
The number of Dengue positive cases in the border town of Moreh reached 37 after 15 more persons were found infected with the vector-borne disease in the past couple of weeks.
A total of 21 positive cases were detected till June 30 while 15 fresh cases were confirmed during testing conducted from July 5 to 16 .
In view of the increasing Dengue cases, a team of special malaria unit of Moreh sub-divisional hospital led by Tengnoupal District Malaria officer Dr Manidhushan under the aegis of Manipur State NVBDCP is carrying fogging and surveillance in Moreh town even during night.
Fresh positive cases were
detected on July 5, 6, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 16 .
Mention may be made that a nine years old child succumbed to the disease at RIMS in June and the disease spread in several localities of the border town since then.
