Col CK Nayudu Trophy : Manipur trail Jharkhand by 158 runs at Stumps on Day 2

Manipur were 82 for 6 after 31.5 overs of their second innings as they trail Jharkhand by 158 runs at Stumps on Day 2 of their penultimate Group C match of the ongoing Col CK Nayudu Trophy 2022-23 at JSCA International Stadium, Jamshedpur.
Manipur having won the toss and opted to field first.
They however took 92.2 overs to bundle out Jharkhand for a first innings total of 417 runs as V Vishal and Sharandeep Singh collected 186 runs for the first wicket in 42.2 overs before Bidash got rid of V Vishal for 65 runs.
Despite Suraj Kharibam removing three of his total 4 wickets and Th Anand removing Ravi Kumar Yadav (32) for the 6th wicket, Sharandeep kept the scoreboard ticking before he was caught out for 173 runs by Suraj Kharibam off Ng Jameson's 2nd delivery in the 72nd over as the scoreboard read 334 runs for 7 .
Bidash then caught and bowled Yuvraj Kumar (31) for the 8th wicket to complete his two wicket haul (2/37) before Ng Jameson completed his three wicket haul by bowling out Manishi for 20 runs in the 86th over.
Suraj Kharibam then bowled out Raunak for 9 runs to wrap up the innings and returned with the best bowling figures of 4/51 in 15.2 overs which include 3 maidens.
Manipur however had a disastrous start to their innings and were eventually bowled out for 177 runs today in 48.2 overs as Shubham Kumar Singh (4/89 in 20 overs), Raunak (3/37 in 14 overs) and Sm Tripathi (2/15) ripped apart the Manipur line up.
Sanjit with 34 runs was the highest run getter for Manipur followed by Bidash (33) and Th Anand (29 not out) .
Being let to follow on, Manipur faltered yet again and were 82 for 6 after 31.5 overs with Aditya of Jharkhand picking up two wickets including Al Bashid who hit four fours on the way to his 42-ball 31 .
The day was called with Ng Jameson getting caught out for 10 runs (off 21 deliveries) by Sharandeep Singh in the 32nd over and Bidash unbeaten on 3 off 12 deliveries he faced.
