Meeting held ahead of G20 Summit

In connection with the upcoming G-20 Summit to be held at INA Head Quarters, Moirang, Sendra and Sangai Ethnic Park, Moirang Khunou in Bishnupur district, a meeting was held at the conference hall of DC Bishnupur on Monday for smooth conduct of the summit as well as security measures to be taken up.
During the meeting, which was attended by 25 local youth clubs of Bishnupur district, sports materials were also distributed to the clubs.
The meeting was attended by Bishnupur ADC H Bobby Sharma, NYK deputy director Dr Dhanachandra Salam and AO T Parbati Devi along with the presidents and secretaries of the clubs.
Speaking on the occasion, Bobby Sharma explained that the meeting was convened to seek support and cooperation from the youth clubs and the people of Bishnupur district towards ensuring smooth conduct of the G20 summit in the district, including maintaining cleanliness on both sides of NH-2 Tiddim road and market areas, thereby upholding the image of Manipur.
He then informed that plastic bottle banks will be installed at suitable locations and urged the people to continue maintaining cleanliness in the district even after culmination of the summit.
Launching the "Catch The Rain Where it Falls When it Falls" campaign on the occasion, NYK deputy director Dr Dhanachandra appealed to the people and the local clubs/organisations to support the campaign for conserving the rain water resources in 50 villages of the district, and also in spreading awareness on the importance of rain water harvesting.
Later, the gathering pledged to conserve and save rain water.
