Imphal, February 13 2023:
Asserting that there is no bifurcation in the Manipur State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), vice-president of the state unit of IRCS Dr Y Mohen said that it is unfortunate that a former member, who is under suspension, is making such misleading claims in the media.
Addressing a press meet at the IRCS state office, MG Avenue here on Sunday, Dr Mohen said that one Khundongbam Jadu, who claimed to be the vice-chairman of IRCS Imphal West branch, made the misleading claim through the media on February 6.Refuting the claim, he said that IRCS is an organisation established for carrying out humanitarian service with Governor of the states concerned as the president of the respective state units.
So, there is only one IRCS unit in the state.
Jadu had been suspended from the organisation for three months on January 11 this year on charge of financial mismanagement.
He is trying to cover up his mis takes by making such misleading claims, Dr Mohen said while urging the public not to believe in such unfounded claims.
