JAC sets deadline

A Joint Action Committee (JAC) has been constituted in connection with the suspected murder of Akoijam Nonganba and the JAC has set a deadline of 24 hours for the authorities to establish the facts and circumstances leading to the death of Nonganba.
AK Nonganba alias Aging s/o late Minister AK Langam of Kwakeithel Konjeng Awang Leikai was found dead at Changoubung under Kanglatongbi police station on February 12 after he went away with his girlfriend Thokchom Sonia d/o Th Shanti of Kwakeithel Thokchom Leikai on February 11 .
Speaking to media persons at the office of Awang Konjeng Youth Organisation, Kwakeithel today, JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Nonganba convenor Thounaojam Ashalata said that the body of Nonganba would not be claimed until and unless all the culprits involved in the alleged murder are booked.
Nonganba who ran a resort at Leimaram was picked up by Sonia from his home in a red car (Maruti Swift), Ashalata said.
Bruises and injury marks seen on the body of Nonganba and blood stained stones recovered from the spot where he was found dead are clear indications of murder, the JAC convenor said.
Saying that Sonia has come back home, she said that certain clues to the murder of Nonganba can be obtained from Sonia.
The JAC convenor then urged Chief Minister N Biren to look into the matter and pull up all the individuals involved in the alleged murder of Nonganba.
