IRCS, Manipur denies bifurcation claim

Dr Y Mohen, vice-president nominate of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur has denied any instance of bifurcation within the Society.
The State vice-president was referring to the claims made by one Khundongbam Jadu who professed to be the vice-chairman of IRCS, Imphal West district.
He made the statement while speaking to media persons during a press conference held at the IRCS, Manipur office located at Thangal Bazar today.
Denying any case of bifurcation of Indian Red Cross Society, Manipur, he asserted that the Governor of the State is the leader of IRCS, Manipur and will continue to hold this post until the forseeable future.
Deeming Kh Jadu's claims as "baseless allegations", he shared that Kh Jadu, a volunteer of IRCS, Manipur, had been suspended for three months on January 12, 2023 in connection with alleged misappropriation of funds.
He urged the public to not believe such false and misleading claims.
Further, he shared that on February 7, the Governor had presided over the general body meeting of IRCS, Manipur at Raj Bhavan and resolved to constitute a management committee for Manipur on February 18 .
"It was during this meeting that I was nominated as the vice-president of IRCS, Manipur", Y Mohen shared.
