AR holds interaction, lecture programmes

Modi Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted an interaction with the women welfare society at Machi sub-division in Tengnoupal district to have mutual cooperation between Armed Forces and women welfare society on security as well as welfare aspects on Saturday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), 33 women and 10 males participated in the event.
The gathering was briefed about how mutual cooperation between Armed Forces and women welfare society can lead to the development of community in terms education, infrastructure and security.
The briefing was followed by an interactive session in which requirements of the women society were told by respective self help groups.
Discussions on women empowerment and improvement of education,' medical, infrastructure facilities and security in the village were also conducted.
Meanwhile, Phundrei Battalion organised an awareness lecture on importance of physical exercise for health management at KV Secondary School, Chakpikarong in Chandel district on December 22 which focused on various types of physical exercise and its benefit for health management.
Students and staff were also explained that healthy body means healthy mind and how health care and physical exercise on daily basis help maintain the balance between both.
The students and staff expressed their gratitude for organising the lecture which was attended by a total of 39 students and 6 teachers.
