Many condole accident victims, restriction imposed on entertainment events

Many continue to extend solidarity and condolences to the victims of the tragic road accident which took place at Old Cachar Road, Tubung Longsai Part III in Noney district on December 21, 2022 .
A study tour bus of Thambalnu Higher Secondary School, Yairipok Top-Chingtha met with the dreadful accident which killed 9 individuals including 7 school students and injured several others.
Extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Joint Committee On People's Welfare, Yairipok (JCPWY), the apex body of 16 clubs, has imposed a restriction on all kinds of festivities in Yairipok area until the Shradha ceremonies of the deceased are conducted.
In a release, Sanjoy Hidam, secretary JCPWY appealed to the public to refrain from organising any form of entertainment events in the Yairipok area and extend their support in paying homage to the 9 persons who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident.

He also urged all the local clubs to extend their support and co-operation in enforcing the restriction till the completion of the Shradha ceremonies.
Sanjoy continued that JCPWY will observe December 21 as "Black Day of Yaripok" every year to remember the tragic bus accident.
Expressing deepest condolences to the family members of the deceased students, local clubs of Top-Chingtha namely TYPO, NNYA, LYCY; Top-Chingtha Gram Panchayat, Tulihal Zilla Parishad and Self Help Groups also announced a restriction on all forms of entertainment events in Top-Chingtha area.
A 1 minute silence was also observed in front of NNYA office to pay homage to the victims of the tragic accident.
Moreover, the Education Guide Centre (EGC), Thoubal Moijing has expressed sorrow over the incident and shared the grief of the bereaved families and those injured.
EGC Thoubal Moijing also prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace.
Nongpok Ningthou Panthoibi Thougal Kanglup Top-Chingtha organised a condolence ceremony at its office premises in Top-Chingtha to pay homage to the departed souls.
Yairipok Pharmacy Association observed two minute silence as a mark of honour and prayed that the departed souls may rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
Extending deepest condolence to the bereaved families, The Immortal Jeep, DI, Diesel Auto, Tata Megic, Taxi Owners Co-operative Society Limited ,Yairipok Imphal has announced that vehicles plying along the route of the association will not take fare from anyone coming for the "Mangani Leihul" of the individuals who lost their lives in the unfortunate accident.
