Imphal, February 25 2022:
While extending greetings to Zeliangrong people of Assam, Manipur and Nagaland, and neighbouring communities in northeast India on its 'Decadal Raising Day', Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) chairman Raitu Chawang has said that his group will continue to render unyielding support towards achieving an honourable and acceptable Naga solution.
In his statement, the ZUF chairman acknowledged "untiring and unending support being rendered by our beloved across the region and appealed for continued support to "march forward relentlessly following the footsteps of our pidneering legends Haipou Jadonang and Rani Gaidinliu".
He also appealed for "peace and tranquillity among the kindred tribes and amongst different groups, ethnic and indigenous communities in the region", while urging every sensible citizen to desist from any form of violence which may result in loss of life and property.
"The Zeliangrong United Front as a member of NNPGs-WC had and shall continue to render our unyielding support for the early honourable and acceptable Naga solution", the ZUF leader asserted.
"We promise you that we shall continue to be a vanguard for the future of our Zeliangrong community in particular and the Nagas as a whole", he continued.
Extending his respect to "our beloved martyrs", the ZUF chairman said: "Their sacrifices had inspired and rejuvenated us to move forward with more determination and a more vigorous spirit" .
