Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Yanthungo Patton has categorically stated that BJP is not an anti-Christian party as assumed by many.
Addressing an election campaign of R Yuh Jonathan Tao, BJP candidate for 47-Karong AC at Thingba Khullen, Yanthungo Patton announced that BJP is focused to bring progress and development in North East India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Temjen Imna Along, state president of BJP Nagaland & Minister of Higher Education and Tribal affairs, Government of Nagaland said that under the BJP Government led by Chief Minister of Manipur, N Biren Singh, the gap between the hills and valleys has been greatly reduced and peace has prevailed in the state.
"We are Nagas and we the BJP party will represent the emotions of the Nagas", he asserted.
Stating that progress and development will come only through the BJP Government, the Ministers present at the event urged the people to vote for BJP in the ensuing elections.
Dr Longri, MLA & Advisor for NH, Treasuries & Accounts, Government of Nagaland; and Avinash Kohli, former in-charge for Manipur, Nagaland and Goa BJP also attended the event along with other leaders and supporters of BJP.
