Schools urged to take anti-drug vow

Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) urged schools in the state to shoulder the responsibility for saving indigenes and students in particular from addictive substances.
In a release, MSF said that drugs and alcohol have been given to the indigenes irrespective of the community to wipe them out.
The present generation should consider for the future and save students from indulging in drugs and alcohol, it said.
Urging schools to support drug prevention campaign Eikhoi Mayai Kaba Drug Thadoklashi', the students' organisation urged the teachers to say slogans Let us save indigenous people from addictive substance and Stop using addictive substance' every day at school assembly, and make the students aware about the menace of drugs.
Students and teachers of Ratankumar Memorial School located in Imphal West have already begun raising their slogans in the assembly from Wednesday, the release informed, while lauding the school for the initiative.
MSF further urged the schools in the state to follow the step of such school.
