Indian Oil Day observed, girl students feted

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) observed the 63rd Indian Oil Day, 2022 at Imphal Depot, Malom on Thursday.
In a release, IOCL informed that ahead of the observance, Indian Oil had declared Medha Chhatravriti Yojana (MCY), an initiative to celebrate the success of meritorious Class X girl students from Manipur Board for the academic year 2021-22.A total of 78 girl students were shortlisted, and a onetime scholarship of Rs 10,000 each was distributed along with certificates during the observance programme held with DGM (Plant) Sekmai BP KH Korn; DRSH & SLC, Imphal KV Nela; DGM (E) IOAOD SO S Ray and CDM, Imphal Depot Stephen C Guite as the presidium member.
Speaking on the occasion, KV Nela informed that it has always been an endeavour of the Corporation to uplift and promote girl students.
MCY is a part of Indian Oil's CSR initiative to motivate girl students across thecoun-try, including in Manipur, the SLC said.
Indian Oil dealers and distributors across the state also observed Indian Oil day by distributing sweets/chocolates to our customers/consumers.
The day was also observed at Sekmai LPG BP and Aviation Fuel Station, Airport, Imphal, added the release.
Stating that the scholarship recipient students expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards Indian Oil, the release conveyed that parents of the students were overwhelmed to witness the programme.
As a part of the observance held with participation of retail outlet dealers, Tata Motors opened a stall to display their latest models of cars including EV range.
