Biswajit continues inspection of RKVY projects

Agriculture minister Th Biswajit Singh continued with his inspection of ongoing construction works of agro-market sheds, warehouses, training hall cum hostels, etc., being taken up in different districts of the state under the Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).
Minister Biswajit started the inspection visits on Wednesday and continued on Thursday in Thoubal and Chandel districts accompanied by officials of agriculture department and Technical and Promotion Cell, the implementing agency of the project.
He inspected present condition of the under-construction agro-market shed at Khongjom bazar in Thoubal district and farmers' training hall at Japhou bazar in Chandel district.
Biswajit told media per sons on the sidelines of the inspection that problem being faced by the department in conducting training programme for farmers from time to time will be solved once the infrastructures being constructed are.
completed.
The department is targeting to complete construction of the said facilities hostels within October this year, the minister confided, adding that that construction of the district agriculture office, Chandel which was reduced to ashes in a fire accident few years back will begin soon.
With Kharif Crop season about to end, the department has begun the process for procuring Rabi crop seeds for distribution to farmers, he added.
