Regional workshop on Technical Education kicks off

Imphal, September 01 2022: The 8th Regional Workshop on Technical Education for the States of North Eastern India was kicked off today at the Imperial Hall of Hotel Classic Grande.

The two -day workshop was organised by Controller of Technical Education, Manipur in collaboration with National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Kolkata.

Dignitaries present at the function include H Gyan Prakash, IAS, Commissioner of Education, GoM; Professor Debi Prasad Mishra, Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research, Kolkata and Professor Venkappaya R Desai, Dean IIT, Kharagpur as the chief guest, functional president and guest of honour respectively.

The event was also attended by principals and delegates of various polytechnic institutes from different States.

Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner H Gyan Prakash shared his belief that the 2-day workshop will serve as a platform for sharing and absorbing knowledge.

He urged the participating individuals to take the knowledge and valuable experience gained from this workshop and share them with their colleagues.

Lastly, he highlighted the importance of polytechnic institutes adding that they contribute immensely in producing talented youths well versed in technical knowledge as well as other related skills.
