Eight new Covid cases, eight recoveries reported

Imphal, September 01 2022:
The state on Thursday reported eight new positive cases of Covid-19 from four districts out of 505 samples tested in the last 24 hours and registered a positivity rate of 1.6 per cent.
The 8 fresh cases (4 males & 4 females) are residents of Imphal West (3), Churachandpur (3), Bishnupur (1) and Thoubal (1) districts.
Thursday also reported eight recoveries from home isolation.
Number of active cases stands at 67, out of which 31 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Thursday and the death toll stands at 2147 lives including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus has infected 1,39,717 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 34 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 58 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 118 D-type and 203 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 3431 vaccine doses administered on Wednesday that took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,31,376, out of which 13,05,795 had received the second dose and 2,45,733 taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49785), Imphal East (32019), Thoubal (10289), Churachandpur (11270), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9971), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6972), Chandel (2792), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (476) .
