District level Rashtriya Poshan Maah launched

'Rashtriya POSHAN Maah', which is celebrated every year in the month of September to create awareness about nutrition and healthy food, was launched across on Monday in Bishnupur, Kakching, Thoubal and Senapati districts.
Poshan Abhiyaan 2022 aims to make India malnutrition free by 2022 by providing adequate nutrition to infants, pregnant women and lactating mothers, covering all states, districts and towns.
Bishnupur district administration in association with ICDS Cell, Department of Social Welfare, Bishnupur launched 'Rashtriya POSHAN Maah - 2022' at the Conference Hall of the DC's office.
Bishnupur additional deputy commissioner H Bobby Sharma, AC to DC Ejaj Hassan and ICDS district project officer Th Santibala Devi addressed the gathering that included CEO, Zilla Parishad, BDO Moirang, CMO, ZEO, DLOs, ICDS supervisors, An-ganwadi and ASHA workers.
To mark the launch of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022, Poshan Rally was held from Mini Secretariat complex till Bishnupur Bazar to raise awareness on the importance of nutrition.
ICDS Cell will also organise various programme to celebrate Rashtriya Poshan Maah in the district in collaboration with Education, Health, Horticulture and other departments.
THOUBAL: National Nutrition month also known as Rashtriya Poshan Maah was formally launched in Thoubal district along with rest of the country.
During launch of the month long celebration, deputy commissioner A Subhash Singh flagged off a rally of Anganwadi workers & helpers, ASHA, VHSNC and ANM from DC Complex which culminated at Thoubal Mela ground.
Flagging off the rally, DC Subhash said National Nutrition month is a celebration during which various programmes related to women and children like health check-up will be carried out in various parts of the district.
He said coordination and cooperation of various departments like ICDS, Health and ZEO is important for success of the celebration.
The programme was also attended by CMO Dr Y Nokul and DLOs of various departments.
SENAPATI: Additional district magistrate HL Jain launched the Poshan Maah celebration (National Nutrition month) at Mini Secretariat, jointly organised by Senapati District Administration and DPO, ICDS cell, Senapati.
Poshan Maah celebration will be observed in all sub-divisions of the district from Thursday onward and will be focussing on various activities under the following theme 'Mahila and Swasthya', 'Bacha and Shisha - Poshan Bhi, Padhai Bhi', Gender Sensitive water conservation and management and traditional foods for women and children in tribal areas.
A mass rally was also taken out in the district from Old DC Office till the Mini Secretariat complex, Senapati.
Slogans such as 'Eat Good Food', 'Work Hard Think Hard Eat Right', 'Always Eat Right', 'Good Nutrition is Our Mission', 'You are what you eat', 'Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi', etc., were raised during the rally.
Later, Senapati ADM administered the pledge of Rashtriya Poshan Maah to participants of the rally.
Various District Level Officers along with its staff, Anganwandi workers and helpers actively participated in the programme.
KAKCHING: District administration Kakching in collaboration with District Programme Officer, ICDS Cell, launched Rastriya Poshan Maah, 2022 at DC Office Complex, Kakching on Thursday.
Additional deputy commissioner A Adahrii Maheo launched the programme which was followed by a Poshan rally participated by Anganwadi workers & helpers, ANM, ASHAs and others in the surrounding area of DC office.
Basically, the Poshan rally is organised to raise awareness on the importance of nutrition to infants, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
As part of the programme, Pledge for Poshan was administered by the ADM while indigenous toys were also put on display/exhibitipn, It may be mentioned that Kakching district is celebrating Poshan Maah during September, 2022 with activities around the key themes of Mahila & Swasthya, Bacha & Shiksha - Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi, Gender Sensitive Water Conservation and Management & Traditional Foods for Women and Children in Tribal Areas.
For organising various programmes and activities in the district, Kakching ICDS District Programme Officer is the nodal officer and will coordinate with various line departments for successful conduct of the celebration of POSHAN Maah.
