Emphasizing on the objectives of SSUM for organising the month-long memorial observation of Lamyanba Irabot, S Yaima said it has been observed to instill the principles of Lamyanba Irabot, a remarkable leader who strove selflessly for the upliftment of the working class and the needy among the masses especially the youths of today.
He also maintained that until and unless the issue of shortage of teachers in Government schools is not solved, such schools will continue to function in an ineffective manner.
In view of the problems faced by the farmers in the State due to lack of fertilizers, agricultural requirements etc, he urged the Government to come up with special policies for the welfare of the farmers.
Informing about the activities to be taken up during the month-long observation, he said that gifts will be provided to children homes and old-age homes across the State.
The 1st Bishnupur district level open painting competition on the theme 'Irabot and his Socialism' will be held on September 10 at Rising Club Ngaikhong Khullen, he said.
He continued that the main event of the observation will be held at THAU Ground, Thangmeiband on September 30 and sought support and cooperation from all to make the observation a successful one.
