State trio pleas for evacuation from Ukraine

Three medical students of Manipur are among hundreds of Indians stranded in Ukraine's eastern state of Sumy.
They are taking shelter inside a bunker as the situation is getting worse day by day.
The three MBBS students are Seiginhao Khongsai (24), son of Jangkholal Khongsai from Ng Phainom village in Saikul, Kangpokpi, Jameson Khumanthem from Heirok in Thoubal district and Sadananda Yumnam from Canchipur in Imphal West district.
The trio while thanking Chief Minister N Bjren Singh for contacting them personally and taking stock of their situation, fervently appealed to the state government and authorities concerned for swift evacuation of stranded Indians including them from the eastern state of Ukraine where no evacuation plan has been initiated till date.
Three medical students, who are spending most of their time inside a bunker, pleaded for early evacuation as most of their essential needs are running out of stock.
The three, all in their second year of MBBS course at Slimy State University in the eastern state of Ukraine bordering Russia, are currently staying in Hostel No 3 of the University.
According to the trio, evacuation has been going on in the western state, which is approximately 800 km away from their place, and it is difficult reach the western state since all types of transportation have been halted and it is impossible to find a private vehicle or driver to transport them.
