Ukhrul, Chingai, Phungyar ACs poll teams dispatched

Ukhrul, March 03 2022:
Dispersal of polling and security personnel assigned for different polling stations under Ukhrul and Chingai assembly constituencies in Ukhrul district and Phungyar AC in Kamjong district began here on Thursday.
The polling teams dispersed on Thursday are assigned to man 63 polling stations located in far-flung areas of the two districts.
Of the 63 polling stations, 47 are under Phungyar AC and 15 under Chingai AC, while one falls under Ukhrul AC.
All the polling personnel left Bakshi Ground, Dungrei, Hungpung for their respective places of duty in a total of 126 vehicles.
The second phase of election will take place on March 5 .
Polling and security personnel assigned for the remaining 156 polling stations in the three assembly constituencies will disperse on Friday.
Altogether, there are 219 polling stations across the three assembly constituencies including 78 in Phungvar AC, 71 in Ukhrul AC and 70 in Chingai AC.
Out of this, a total of 148 polling stations has been identified as critical, while 55 polling stations as vulnerable.
There will also be 45 all-woman polling stations in the three assembly constituencies with 41 of them in Ukhrul AC and two each in Chingai AC and Phungyar AC.
Four model polling stations have also been set up across the three assembly constituencies.
They are 44/39 Ukhrul (C-1) and 44/40 Ukhrul (C-2) in Ukhrul AC and 45/36 Phungcham (A) in Chingai AC and 43/10 Leingangching in Phungyar AC .
