CEO meets injured security personnel

Imphal, March 03 2022:
Manipur Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Rajesh Agrawal on Thursday visited Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Lamphelpat and enquired about condition of 10 security personnel of 2nd India Reserve Battalion, Mizoram who were injured in an accident that occurred at Tamenglong on Wednesday.
Rajesh Agrawal advised RIMS director Prof A Santa Singh to take good care of the injured personnel, so that they get recovered soon.
He also interacted with the bed ridden security personnel and wished them speedy recovery.
Later, Rajesh Agrawal visited Jawaharlal Nehru In stitute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Porompat to see the health condition of another injured CRPF jawan of 340 Bn, A-119 Coy who got his leg fractured due to a fall on Wednesday around 9.30 pm in Tamenglong district.
The injured personnel in both the accident cases were airlifted by Rapid Response Teams (RRT) of Medical Department under the supervision of State Nodal Officer (Health) Tomcha Khuman.
During the visit, the CEO was accompanied by additional CEO Naorem Praveen Singh, Election OSD Ganesh Nagarajan, Health SNO Tomcha Khuman and RRT officials.
The chief electoral officer also appreciated the SNO (Health) and his Rapid Response Teams for their swift action which enabled timely and efficient medical intervention to the injured personnel and further advised officials concerned to be ready for any such eventualities in the next phase of poll.
