MNRF celebrates 11th Raising Day

The armed Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) reportedly celebrated its 11th Raising Day at the outfit's headquarters on Thursday.
According to a statement of MNRF, the celebration function was attended by its army chief Vapaimi Zimik as president while chief of army staff of MPA-UNLF M Chaoba and UNLF's secretary of minority affairs TD Khuman Chiru were present as guests of honour.
The celebration was also attended by outfit's assistant publicity secretary, general staff officers, officers, NCOs and MNRF cadres.
The main highlights of the celebration function included speeches by army chief V Zimik and other dignitaries and discussion on Manipur's freedom movement.
In his speech, V Zimik extended revolutionary greetings to all the fraternal revolutionary groups of WESEA which are fighting for regaining sovereignty.
Most of revolutionary groups have been fighting for more than 50 years to restore sovereignty in WESEAxegion but MNRF has been in existence for only 11 years.
MNRF is not solely for the Nagas but also for Meitei, Kuki, Meitei-Pan-gal settling in Manipur since time immemorial and the outfit believes that a collective fight by these communities will ensure success, he said, adding that MNRF's main objective is ensuring collective survival and inclusive development in Manipur.
