TPR drops to 1.5 pc Covid: 19 test positive in last 24 hrs

The State's positivity rate or TPR has further dropped to 1.5 per cent from yesterday's 2.3 per cent as 19 were found to be Covid-19 positive out of 1,299 samples tested during the last 24 hours.
The positive cases were detected at JNIMS (1) and other testing centres (18), and they are residents of Imphal East (2), Imphal West (6), Thoubal (1), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (3), Senapati (2), Noney (2) and Churachandpur (1) .
The death toll stands at 2113 as there was no report of Covid related death during the last 24 hours.
Following recovery, 32 Covid-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (20), RIMS (1), JNIMS (4) and CCCs (2) .
The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases in the State is 1,36,854 (general population 1,31,841 and Central security personnel 5,013) .
This figure includes 293 active cases (general population 282 and Central security personnel 11) and 1,34,448 recovered cases (general population 1,29,453 and Central security personnel 4,995) .
The recovery rate as on Thursday is 98.24 per cent.
A total of 434 D-type oxygen cylinders and 155 B-type oxygen cylinders were made available to different health facilities of the State yesterday.
Currently, 279 Covid beds are vacant in JNIMS and another 111 in RIMS.
The cumulative number of Covid vaccine doses administered in the State has reached 27,16,579 (first dose 15,13,694, second dose 11,42,715 and precautionary dose 60,170) .
Till March 2, 48.81 per cent of the State's total eligible population has been given both the first and second doses of Covid vaccine while 61.08 per cent has received the first dose.
