Chandel, Tengnoupal polling personnel dispersed

With polling in Chandel (ST) and Tengnoupal (ST) constituencies only two days left, the dispersal of polling personnel started on Thursday with Chandel district election officer Mayanglambam Rajkumar flagging off the team from Maha Union Govt High School, Chandel.
Speaking to media persons, the DEO informed that 3ue to vastness of area of two constituencies, the dispersal of polling personnel for 154 polling stations are being done in two phases.
For the first phase polling personnel for 64 polling stations had been despatched and the remaining 90 teams will be dispersed on Friday.
He said that Chandel and Tengnoupal constituencies will have 10 polling stations each, which will be exclusively manned by Women personnel only.
He further added that all the polling stations had been categorised into Normal, Vulnerable and Critical, and adequate security arrangement made with the district election office working hard to have a peaceful, free & fair, and transparent polling in the two districts.
He also appealed to all the people of the two constituencies to contribute their mite for a peaceful polling.
It is said that out of 154 polling stations, 80 are in Chandel AC and 74 in Tengnoupal.
In Chandel AC, a total of 49,255 electors will decide the fate of two candidates while in Tengnoupal AC there are 44,525 electors to select their representative from among the six in fray.
