Mega legal awareness camp organised

Imphal, November 07 2022:
As part of the pan-India Empowering Citizens Through Legal Awareness and Outreach Campaign' of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal East organised a one-day mega legal awareness camp at Yairipok Tulihal multipurpose community hall on Sunday.
The camp was attended by District and Sessions Judge cum DLSA chairman Rk Memcha and secretary Arshad Sayeed Shah as presidium members.
In all, 6 stalls were opened during the camp, which included free legal services by DLSA Imphal East, free tree saplings distribution by the Forest Department, enrolment for 3-month training programme of MSLRM (DDU-JKY), MOAPS, CMWPS of Social Welfare Department and application of CMST, exchange cards at common services centre, free eye check-up of the Medical Directorate and farmer cards of Agriculture Department.
Altogether 273 people availed the services provided during the camp.
Meanwhile, DLSA, Senapati organised a one-day legal awareness camp at Senapati multi-purpose hall on Monday.
The camp was attended by Senapati DC Mahesh Hiralal Choudhury, additional SP Senapati Haokip and others.
During the camp, public prosecutor Koshia Mao spoke on the topic of Fundamental Rights and Fundamental Duties'; while, Jan Sangsthan director Th Jesusen explained about the schemes under which the women are being provided training to become skilled workers.
A team of Health Department also organised a free eye and health check-up camp on the occasion, along with preparation of health cards for different -ly-abled people by a team of the Chief Minister's office.
