Mega legal awareness camp organised at various places

As part of the Nationwide campaign, "Empowerment of Citizens through Legal Awareness", DLSA Senapati today organised a mega legal awareness camp at Multipurpose Hall, Opposite DC Office, Senapati.
The camp sponsored by Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) was conducted under the aegis of National Legal Service Authority (NALSA) .
It was attended by Deputy Commissioner Senapati, Mahesh Hiralal Chaudhari and Additional SP (L &O) Senapati, Thangkhochon Haokip as presidium members.
Koshia Mao, Additional Public Prosecutor, District & Session Court Senapati also took part in the event as resource person.
During the camp, Koshia Mao delivered a lecture on "Fundamental Right and Fundamental Duties under the Constitution of India" while Th Jesu Sen, Director Jan Shikshan Sansthan Senapati spoke on "Welfare schemes in India and challenges faced by the people of Senapati district" .
N Keertichand Singh, MJS, District & Sessions Judge Senapati cum chairman DLSA Senapati; Margaret Niangsiamkim, secretary DLSA Senapati and S Pfokrelo Thomas also attended the event.

IMPHAL
DLSA Imphal East also organised a 1-day mega legal awareness camp at Yairipok Tulihal Multipurpose Community Hall, Imphal East district yesterday.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of RK Memcha Devi, MJS, District & Sessions Judge, Imphal East cum chairman DLSA IMphal East and Arshad Saeed Shah secretary DLSA Imphal East, said a release issued by DLSA.
During the camp, DLSA Imphal East provided free legal services; Forest Department distributed nursery plants; Social Welfare Department received applications for MOAPS, CMWPS & CMST and the Medical Directorate carried out free eye check-ups.
Enrolment of 3-months training by MSRLM (DDU-GKY); enrolment of PMJAY card, CMHAT, exchange card by Common Service Centre; and farmer card by Agriculture Department were also carried out.
Altogether, 273 persons were benefited by the camp.
UKHRUL
DLSA Ukhrul in collaboration with MASLSA and under the aegis of NALSA today organised a "One Day Micro-Legal Awareness Programme cum Door-to-Door Campaign" at Kasom Khullen, Kamjong district.
The programme was conducted under the guidance of Samom Ibjen, Samom Ibjen, District & Session Judge cum Chairman DLSA Ukhrul and led by Heeralata Moirangthem, Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary DLSA Ukhrul.
As part of the campaign, 2 micro-legal awareness cum interaction programmes were held at Kasom Khullen Higher Secondary School and Village Authority Office of Kasom Khullen.
Moreover, DLSA Ukhrul also conducted door-to-door campaigns at Kasom Khullen Sub-division; Koso village under Phungyar Sub-division and Shangshak village in Ukhrul district.
