105th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution observed

The 105th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution was held today at Irawat Bhawan organised by Manipur State Council, Communist Party of India (MSC/CPI) .
The dignitaries of the event spoke in length about the major changes brought globally by the revolution which is popularly known as October Revolution and maintained that the success of the revolution motivated the working class people to strive for self-reliance, said a press release by MSC/CPI.
The speakers further stated that the success of the October Revolution led to the rise of many socialist states which promoted the well-being of working class people going against the dominating elite classes.
Many countries also fought against European rule and achieved independence after the revolution, they added.
The event was presided by Leishangthem Thoiren, State Secretary of MSC/CPI.
