The fine amount could be doubled if delayed for long.
The officer further warned of fraud website if one does not enter the correct name on web as there have been similar cases in the past.
Clarifying on the recent so called 'plastic rice' that went viral on social media in the district, L Johnny stated that different complaints reached the office from different villages.
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) had investigated into what people talked about as 'plastic rice and plastic egg.' Later, it was found out that the little different rice in the rice bag was only fortified rice and not 'plastic rice' as claimed to be, he added.
The designated officer also appealed to all to come to the office for clarification before uploading any post on social media.
Apart from representatives of Karong Senapati Town Committee (KSTC), around 150 FBOs including vegetable vendors and fruit sellers attended the programme.
